Last February 16, 2016, NKTI Liver Transplant Program hosted a Liver Center Symposium held at Dr. Claver Ramos Auditorium. In this symposium articles were presented by highly respected experts in the field of liver transplantation.
This symposium featured two distinguished experts. Dr. Maria Isabel Fiel, Senior Pathologist of Mount Sinai Hospital in New York, had discussed the liver transplantation complications with emphasis on Plasma Cell Hepatitis and antibody-mediated rejection.
Her talk was followed by Dr. Johnny C. Hong, Associate Professor of Surgery, Department of Surgery Medical College of Wisconsin. He spoke on the topic Surgical Innovation of Liver Transplantation: “Pushing the Envelope to Expand the Donor Pool.”
An after forum followed and further discussed the topics presented in the symposium.
